Art X Space is C4CCI's curatorial platform for digital, hybrid and cross-disciplinary artistic practice. It brings together artists, ideas and emerging technologies through curated online exhibitions, experimental formats and new forms of cultural encounter.
An exploration of attraction, resistance and the invisible forces that shape relationships between people and systems.
Magnetism brings together an experimental digital series in which industrial visual language, sound and repetition become tools for examining tension, proximity and social relationships. The exhibition considers how individuals are drawn towards, held within or pushed against the systems that surround them.
Art X Space creates room for artistic practices that move between disciplines, technologies, cultures and forms of expression.
Initiated by C4CCI — Centre for Cultural & Creative Industries, Art X Space approaches the digital environment not simply as a place in which to display work, but as a space for curatorial experimentation, dialogue and cultural exchange. We are particularly interested in practices that question established boundaries and explore how contemporary culture is being reshaped by technology, society and new forms of creative production.
Art X Space supports a developing international programme of digital, hybrid and cross-disciplinary artistic practice within the wider cultural and research framework of C4CCI.
Discover C4CCIArt X Space approaches the online environment as an exhibition space in its own right — creating opportunities for artworks, ideas and audiences to meet beyond geographical and physical boundaries.
The screen is not simply a substitute for the gallery. It offers a different way to encounter artistic practice.
Each Art X Space exhibition is developed in response to the artist, the work and the possibilities of its digital context. Images, moving image, sound, text and other digital media can be brought together to create accessible online exhibitions for audiences across locations and time zones.
We welcome exhibition proposals from artists whose practices connect with the curatorial direction of Art X Space.
Proposals are considered individually by C4CCI. Where a project is suitable for Art X Space, we work with the artist to define the exhibition format, curatorial and production requirements, project scope and associated costs before scheduling the exhibition.
Introduce your artistic practice, exhibition concept and the work you would like us to consider.
C4CCI reviews the proposal in relation to the curatorial direction and programme of Art X Space.
For suitable projects, exhibition format, production requirements, support and costs are agreed with the artist.
Approved projects are scheduled within the available Art X Space programme.
Selection is curatorial. Submission of a proposal does not guarantee an exhibition. Project scope, support and costs are agreed individually before an exhibition is confirmed.
